Ilia Beauty At Sephora.co.uk | British Beauty Blogger
[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] Yes, here we are now with our own dedicated Sephora website. Goodbye Feel Unique – thanks for all the good times, etc, but I have to admit the Sephora.co.uk site is looking pretty sharp. I’m going to the launch on Thursday evening so next week I can take a look at the new brands if I haven’t been crushed by the incoming advent calendars by then. However, as a gentle introduction and nudge to browse the site (it’s overwhelming, I’ll warn you) I’m starting with Ilia Beauty and their handy Multi-Stick which is the sort of beauty product that is a ‘can’t go wrong’ make up bag item.
I have the shade In The City which gives a beam of light to cheeks although I’m more likely to wear this shade in the summer. There are eleven other shades ranging from mauve led pinks through to red-shot coral with a strong neutral palette in between. A quick stick like this is the work horse of a cosmetic bag – use it on lips, cheeks or even eyes (In The City is strong for this third option) and acts as a veil of colour that brings the complexion to life. There are options from other brands (a less pricy option is the marvellous e.l.f. multi-stick) and at £33 sits in the ‘treat’ camp but Ilia’s Multi-stick is a no-regrets item that will prove its worth over and over. It contains avocado, orange peel and shea butter so it’s kind to skin. You can find it HERE. I’d also highly recommend the Multi-Stick palette that combines six creamy shades you can apply with fingers or a brush. It’s £40 HERE.
Ilia has a broad spectrum of products – the only thing so far that’s not for me is the mascara because the brush feels unwieldy and I’d prefer a much skinner option, but well worth checking out too are the Liquid Powder Chromatic Eye Tints – in the swatch, I’m showing shade Dim (I’m saying nothing), which looks strong but if you just blend out a bit with your finger or a brush, leaves the most delightful wash of pink twinkles across the lid. It’s made to wear sheer – a less is more approach, which is where this brand comes into its own. It’s like Gen Z make up for grown ups in the quality we want and dewy textures we need. There are six shade options and the tints are £27 each HERE.
