Michelle Obama says Americans weren’t ready for her natural black hair.

Michelle said during her time in the White House, it would’ve been easier to keep her hair in braids, but “nope, they weren’t ready for it,” she said. Besides, she wanted the focus to be on her husband’s duties to the U.s., other than her hairstyle choices. 

Can we add that we love her in the braids she’s been rocking lately.
